SM7LCB, Microwave Summary 2010Last updated 7 January 2011.If this page looks bad when please use Firefox! Summary Compared with 2009 this year give many new QSO in many ways.
144 MHz Back again on 2 m with yagi antenna but high attenuation between the antenna and the station so I only get 2 W into the antenna and the NF is higher the 10 dB. Hope that I during 2011 will update this band with power amplifier ant pre-amplifier so there can be more serious operation on this band. But even with this small station I manage to work many nice long distance QSO and also one aurora QSO! Still microwave band will be the main band for may radio activity!
1.3 GHz My new 1.9 meter dish antenna on this band works nice and so was the activity also this year with many calls in logbook! Many nice tropo openings during the summer with many new squares on this band. But the best this year was the nice tropo opening during the the weekend 9-10 of October with many nice QSO, hope for more soon! Nice with some G stations again in the logbook and the QSO map looks much nicer this year!
2.3 GHz In principal the same notation as for 1.3 GHz. Same number of QSO but many more calls in logbook and the new 1.9 meter dish antenna is working nice. But still good tropo openings is the key to get many QSO and new calls/squares in the logbook
3.4 GHz Nice to be back on 9cm! During spring 2010 I rebuild the 9 cm transverter and installed it during the summer 2011 and what a year!
10 GHz As on all other microwave bands many calls in logbook because of the nice 9-10 of October tropo opening. This summer I installed a new 0.9 meter dish for 3 cm (10 GHz) with feed for 6 cm (5.6 GHz) but still no 6 cm transverter. But I'm not sure if that antenna is good so will see if there will be changes on this new antenna.
